ALPHABET REFORM
The Senate of the Oliy Majlis approved the law on changing the Uzbek alphabet based on the Latin script and sent it to the President for consideration. The document envisages the transition to a system consisting of 28 letters and one apostrophe instead of the current 26 letters and 3 combinations.
